This week on Street, Politician's hosts Tamika D. Mallory and Mysonne "The General" discuss the many tolls incarceration takes. This week hosts are joined by Tiffany Dena Loftin, for an update on Julius Jones. Unfortunately, Julius Jones has been wrongfully sentenced to death row, with an execution date of November 18th, 2021. Later in the show, Topeka K. Sams, the founder and executive of "The Ladies of Hope Ministries," stops by to speak on her past being incarcerated in federal prison. During her time detained, she witnessed firsthand the epidemic and disparity of incarceration on women, which has led to her current work bringing awareness to women's incarceration and post-incarceration issues to change the criminal legal system.
