Cathleen recalls watching Oprah Winfrey in the early days of her news anchoring. Cathleen was enthralled to see a Black woman who didn’t fit the typical profile of a Black woman in the media.

A former news anchor and reporter for My9 and Fox 5 News broadcasts in New York City, Cathleen’s on-air career in television, radio and film spans more than two decades.

The celebrated Emmy award-winning journalist, talk show host, producer and actress has co-starred in more than a dozen TV shows and films, including: Power, Madam Secretary, House of Cards, Homeland, and the Tupac Shakur biopic, All Eyes On Me.

As a wife and proud mother of four, Cathleen believes it is crucial for women to be represented in all industries and chooses to amplify the female voice in entertainment through her content.

The power of storytelling may be one of the greatest skills an entrepreneur can develop. Mother, entrepreneurand philanthropist, Cathleen Trigg-Jones knows a thing or two about creating a platform that shares relevant perspectives.

Jones is a mother, a wife, a businesswoman, but most importantly, someone who wants to be known as a support system for all women.

For over 20 years, the uber-talented CEO has dedicated her time, energy, and expertise to create a full-service media and production company, Catscape Productions.

As a part of our series about “dreamers who ignored the naysayers and did what others said was impossible”, I had the pleasure of interviewing Cathleen Trigg-Jones, Founder and CEO of Catscape Productions.

From the age of seven, EMMY Award-winning Journalist Cathleen Trigg-Jones knew she would one day be gracing the screen of television.
