I am an African American Female anesthesiologist who has somehow ended up on the wrong end of a default judgment v. United Healthcare, meaning my attorney at the time didn’t file a timely response or ask for a continuum. By the time I secured another attorney, his attempt at appealing the default was denied by the Fifth Circuit Court of Texas.
MY 503-acre FAMILY FARM, initially purchased in 1968 by my father and his 2 brothers, is being sold on the auction block on the morning of March 2, 2021!!
I’ve called everyone that I know who might extend me a temporary loan to save our family farm. This whole process is literally killing my 86-year-old dad who has raised over 200 head of cattle, cut and sold hay, as well as timber when it matured. Even at his age, he is on the farm 7 days a week! He has worked his entire life to be able to leave this property to his grandchildren, only to have it stolen away like this.
I’m praying for mercy and grace at this point.
